Life in Nantes
IdHEO Nantes is located in Orvault, on the outskirts of Nantes the largest town on the west coast of France. The school is situated just off the ring road making it a highly accessible location, well served by the local bus routes and tramway. The school is 15 mins from Nantes town centre and 45 mins from the coast (the beach towns of La Baule and Pornic). (Download the map )
Nantes is easily accessed by motorway, TGV (Nantes-Paris 2h05) or plane (Nantes Atlantique airport). Nantes is a town steeped in Breton history. It is also a vibrant and active cultural city with over 10 000 university students. Sports facilities, cinema complexes, shopping centers and concert halls (such as the new Zenith) are all within easy reach of the school. Nantes was voted one of the most desirable places to live in France in 2006(see the Nantes website).
